There has been a lot of negatives regarding Cal football and education lately. This is very interesting especially regarding UNC's academic prestige and history of successful student athletes. Is it fair to ask if a top tier public university can commit enough resources to see these athletes succeed? Are there any truly successful examples outside of UCLA? Sonny Dykes program will ultimately be a great case study to see if this can be accomplished, and how capable a public university heavily impacted by state budgets can be at educating their athletes.
