That's right! The Cal Spirit Commission has decided to make it economically more feasible for those complaining about paying 15 dollars for a t shirt for their respective section on the original "Stripe Out" plan.
"Well, on social media such as Facebook and Twitter, there has been much negative comments about planning this endeavor. As we would like to be sensitive to those who are willing to shell out their life savings for a game ticket, the added 15 dollars will make some have to make some decisions at the end of the month. I mean, that's like a water bill for a dorm-mate." said Heidi a representative of the Spirit Commission.
At an average price of 7 dollar per roll at Target, the gold colored aluminum foil can be easily be split between 3 people.
"We ask, however, to have our fans purchase the gold colored aluminum to celebrate the rich tradition of our Gold and Blue!" she added.
The added benefit for the heavily un-favored Bears is that the glare created by the afternoon sun shining over Strawberry Canyon will blind the nationally ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.
"Well, we want to make the home field advantage as much as an advantage as possible. We are the 12th man after all!"
When asked about the unwanted effects of heat and glare onto our own team, Heidi adds, "We gave our team special shades and visors." She adds, " We will also have recycling bins for the used aluminum. The proceeds will go to the free t-shirts that will go to our next "Stripe Out Memorial" campaign. Just so people stop bitching and fricken be team players!"
