Cal loses two LBs to Transfer and Injury

Due to injury, we won't see this in the Ohio State game this year. - Greg Bartram-US PRESSWIRE

The Bears defense depth got a little bit thinner as Linebacker David Wilkerson has been granted his release from the program and fellow Linebacker Nathan Broussard will have ACL surgery within the next two weeks.

Two of the Cal defensive stars from the Spring Game will not be contributing to this upcoming season. Junior David Wilkerson, who missed the entire 2012 season to an ankle injury, will be released from the program. Meanwhile, fellow linebacker sophomore Nathan Broussard will be going under the knife for an ACL surgery.

Best of luck to Wilkerson is his future endeavor and speedy recovery to Broussard to get back on the field for the Bears.
