This is Senior Caitlin Leverenz's last Pac-12 Championship. How did she do? - Jamie Squire
I am not a fan of tape delayed in this day and age, so this is going to be rather anti-climatic. Nevertheless, the Pac-12 Networks have finally put together their cut of the Pac-12 Women's Swimming and DIving Championship from last week. Cal Bears were the defending conference champ (in addition to the defending NCAA champ). Watch how the Calympians Caitlin Leverenz and Rachel Bootsma, as well as Elizabeth Pelton, etc. dominate in the pool.
Pac-12 Women's Swimming and Diving Championship (Tape Delayed)
Broadcast info: Pac-12 Networks
When: March 5 at 7:30 p.m. PT
Actual Results: (Spoiler Alert) CalBears.com
Bears put up a valiant fight to try for a three-peat as Pac-12 Champions. The difference in Pac-12 scoring (vs. the NCAA) with more points awarded to more swimmers per event, probably work to the Bears' disadvantage. Anyhow, there were plenty of great individual efforts from this past week that should make this an interesting view for Cal and swim fans.
With the quality of the swimmers involved, this is truly world class swimming just in the Pac-12 Conference Championship.
