After salvaging the last game of the Astros Foundation College Classics by blasting Houston 13-2 behind 20 hits, the Bears (5-6) next face the AFCC participant Rice Owls (6-4) at RIce's home field, site of the improbable NCAA Regional Comeback by the Bears.
The Bears return to Rice's Reckling Park, where back in 2011 the following happened:
Sure, the dramatic comeback was against Baylor, but the Bears also ended Rice's season (and now Washington Nationals prospect Anthony Rendon's career) at that park two games prior.
