Cal Baseball vs. USC Trojans Friday Gamethread

Time for more baseball! - USA TODAY Sports

Game 2 between the Bears and the Trojans and the 2nd ever night game at Evans Diamond. Can the Bears bounce back from last night's defeat with a first ever home night game win? GO BEARS!

A record 2100+ people attended the first ever night game at Evans Diamond. Despite a late 8th inning rally to tie the game up at 3, the Bears fell to the USC Trojans 4-3 to snap Cal's previously perfect home record. Freshman Ryan Mason got in some trouble but was able to hold the Trojans to just 3 runs in 7 innings.

Tonight, the Bears play another night game (this time at 6 PM PT as the team is figuring out whether 6 PM PT or 7 PM PT is a better time).
