OK, so let's let the sweet blueberry goodness that is the BEARATHON continues to wash all over us, baptizing us in the ways of the B and the G. This thread (amongst all the others!) is for the Spring Game. The Spring Game has lost its luster a tidbit, not only because of all the other open practices this season, but also because a lot of Cal fans who would be there are currently either on their way down or at HP Pavilion for the Cal-Syracuse game. We'll have a thread up for that soon enough!
But use this thread to discuss all the action. We'll be there, posting things and tweeting things and generally carrying about in a way that would make any reasonable person say "What's All This, Then?"
So, comment on your thoughts about the Spring Game and GO BEARS!
Info on the game.
Gates 1-6 will open to the public for the spring game at 3 p.m. All seating is general admission and will be located on the west side of Memorial Stadium. Campus parking lots will be open for tailgating for $10 per car.
Fans can enjoy a variety of giveaways at the event, including team posters to the first 5,000 in attendance and eco-friendly reusable Cal shopping bags for 2,300 people. Fans can also take part in a scavenger hunt for a chance to win airfare, hotel accommodations and game tickets for two to a 2013 Cal football road game.
A pregame Fun Zone and kids' activities will be set up at Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza with inflatable games, face painting, poster making, football drills simulation, uniform dress station, pictures with cut outs and more. Fans can also celebrate Oski's birthday with the first 500 kids receiving Good Humor ice cream birthday bars courtesy of Unilever. Former Cal football player Marshawn Lynch is also expected to take part in the Fun Zone and sign autographs for fans. The Cal Bears Shop will also have merchandise tents with huge sales on all of your favorite items.
Dykes said he plans to share the quarterback reps among the three leading candidates for the starting job — Zach Kline, Jared Goff and Austin Hinder.
