DBD 2.5.13: Shameless Self-Promotion

Now that the NFL season has officially ended, it is time to focus on what really matters: LEAGUE BUSINESS!! For years now, my NFL season has lasted from February to August . . . why, you may ask? I grew up in an area that has no NFL team, so I never found myself attached to any professional football team and because of that, I find myself following offseason business just as much as the actual season. Just a few years ago, I decided to look into why the region I am from does not have an NFL team and I was astounded to learn about the rich history of professional football in Los Angeles. The more I learned, the more I began to yearn for my professional football team to return to its home of almost 50 years—I began to yearn for the return of the Los Angeles Rams. Throughout 49 seasons in Southern California (35 at the LA Coliseum and 14 at Anaheim Stadium), the Rams set multiple attendance records, broke the NFL's color barrier, was the first team to place a logo on the side of their helmets, won the first professional championship in the state of California, and was a large part of the culture of Los Angeles—in many ways it was the City of Angels' first love in sports.

Now, here's my shameless self-promotion: I have a Facebook page (and a website) and we are making a push to get to 10,000 likes before the end of the month and I would be eternally grateful if you would come over and give us a like. Also, feel free to visit out website to see what we are all about.

Why should you care???

49ers Fans: You would get your longtime rival back. Back in the day, the Rams and 49ers truly hated each other much like the Dodgers and Giants. And come on, you know you want to chant Beat LA again!

Raiders Fans: If the Rams return, there is a good chance that the Raiders will end up staying in the Bay Area. I don't think the NFL will allow the Raiders to move in on the Rams' turf again because it failed miserably the first time around.

Fan of Another Team: You like rooting against LA right? Well, if the Rams return home to Los Angeles, then you get that chance!

Cal Fans: They wear blue and gold!!

Stanfurd Fans: They don't exist, and even if they did I don't give a rat's ass what they think.

Go Bears!!
