Would you like to see some pictures from my recent trip to Taiwan?
Let's start in Kaohsiung, in southern Taiwan. You can see the city center from the hillside:
But, say you don't want to be high up. Why don't we head to a cafe by the sea?
Yeah, I think it was the right decision.
Outside of Kaohsiung there's a restaurant called the Bear Family, which is most famous for its pork knuckles. I did not partake, but they did have the best bittermelon I've ever eaten.
Just a short drive away is Kenting, a relaxed beach town with a night market. I'm not going to show you a night market picture because the ones I took have people in them, and also, I was wearing red. Instead, let's go to that beach, shall we?
Next, we'll head to Cape Eluanbi, the southern tip of Taiwan. Pretty hard to tell that it's winter, huh?
As we wend our way up the eastern shore of Taiwan, we reach Hualien. At Seven Star Lake, you should be able to see San Francisco. No? Must be because it's preparing to storm.
I think I've overloaded this DBD with pictures, so we'll just have to cover the northern half of Taiwan next time!
