Coming off a weekend to remember in Arizona, Crabbe takes home Pac-12 Player of the Week!
23.5 points, 7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 62% shooting.
That eye-popping statline came from Allen Crabbe's weekend in Arizona, and it was good enough to garner him Pac-12 Player of the Week honors.
The Bears went 1-1 on their road trip through the Grand Canyon state, knocking off #7 Arizona in Tucson, but falling 66-62 to Arizona State, despite a late run, and Crabbe was a large part of both efforts, playing a 76 out of 80 possible minutes. For a team that has struggled with its depth all year, Crabbe has shouldered his increased role quite nicely, shooting a career high 48.3% this season - to go with 19.8 points a game.
The good thing is people are starting to take notice.
It's a shame Allen Crabbe doesn't get the recognition he deserves. One of the best scoring guards in college basketball.— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) February 11, 2013
Needless to say, the Bears will need him to repeat those efforts this Thursday against UCLA, if they want to emerge with a W.
Congratulations Allen! Go Bears!
