6 p.m. PT - No. 20 Cal (17-7, 10-5 Pac-12) at Oregon (14-11, 7-8)
After downing the Oregon State Beavers in 4 sets on Thursday night, the Bears will finish the Oregon road trip with a date with the reigning national runner-ups, Oregon Ducks on Friday night. Similar to the Bears, the Ducks played 4 sets on Thursday night, losing to Stanfurd in the process. Bears won the Oregon State match with a season high 17 blocks. Coincidently, Stanfurd set a season high with 18 blocks in their win over Oregon. We shall see if the Bears can keep the block party going tonight.
Cal head coach Rich Feller celebrated his 300th Cal victory on Thursday night. The win also made it the first time that Coach Feller has more wins at Cal (with 300) than not at Cal (299). Yes, Rich Feller is going to career win number 600 tonight. Should he get there, Feller would only be the 18th active and 29th overall coach to reach that mark.
Earlier this year in Berkeley, the Bears defeated the Ducks in a 5 setter. Relive the highlights from that match here:
Bears are playing for a chance to host the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. With a RPI of 20 coming into this week, a sweep of always tough Pac-12 teams should only help. Coming up next, the Bears will host the Washington schools (including a Pac-12 leading Huskies) next week.
