The De La Salle product has flipped to Yale.
BREAKING: 3-star LB Victor Egu has decommitted from #Cal, will instead attend #Yale. Here's more ($): cal.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fi…

With the Andy Buh and the Bears opting to play more 4-3 next year, linebacker has become quite the crowded stable in Berkeley. Unfortunately, with that development, players will be asked to move around and switch positions, and so too, will some recruits. One such casualty from the move to 4-3 will be Victor Egu, who the new staff was rumored to prefer at defensive end, rather than linebacker.
It likely would not be a stretch to assume this factored into his decommitment, as Egu has decided to play his college ball for Yale instead.
Best of luck to him in New Haven!
With his decommitment, the Bears are down to 3 linebackers for '13 - Chad Whitener, Johnny Ragin III, and Edward Tandy. Readers, are you still comfortable with the linebackers being brought in for the '13 class, even without Egu? Who would you like to see take his spot, ahead of this HUGE recruiting weekend? Sound off below.
