9.18.12 DBD Easy to Get a Job if You Are Single

I find it hard to believe we are less than 2 weeks away until kickoff of Cal's football season and, of course, the unveiling of refurbished Memorial Stadium. OK, this poor effort at a DBD has been in the can for a while. But now that we know Cal is 1-2 and the prospects of a bowl berth are more "challenging", let's focus on the positives: we had a good showing in Columbus, one of the world's best places to live and home of the #1 zoo in the United States. There was good food, cold beer, and much cheer at the tOSU-Cal tailgate hosted by CalBandGreat. There were songs sung (and other patrons annoyed) at Matt the Miller's following the game. Rishi's guns were exposed sending all single ladies fleeing running.

In other good news for you single peeps, it is easier to get a job if you're single than if you're married. Obviously these employers have no idea that single folks act like Rishi (so are always hungover and unproductive), while married folks act like me (so are... never mind).

Single men and women lost about 5 million jobs during the financial crisis, and have since gained back 90% of them, according to the Labor Department. That's not too shabby, especially considering the jobs recover has been so slow.

But married people, who make up a slightly larger part of the adult population, lost even more jobs and have gained far fewer back. Of the 6 million jobs they lost, they've recouped only about 22%.

OK, that's enough verbiage for a DBD. I suppose I should have a poll. Someone else better do the links b/c I ain't gonna.
