What's the deal with the ribbon boards? It was boasted that Cal will have several ribbon boards in the stadium...under the press box, the entire south end & the north end (split) of the bowl. OK, that's well & good but what are you doing with them? NOTHING!! As fans, we were pumped to hear about them thinking they'd show out-of-town scores & game stats. Instead, they show only sponsors. What a waste! They already have lighted sponsors under the ribbon boards. It's pretty weak that Cal announces scores once a quarter as they did before. I have verizon as my cell phone carrier as i've had for a decade. I've never had decent reception inside Memorial Stadium! I thought it was said there would be better reception with the remodel? I know (by the signs) that at&t is a sponsor but why can't my wife & I get a damn verizon 3G signal? Why do I need it? To LOOK UP OUT-OF-TOWN SCORES!! My battery, like all smartphone batteries, is drained quickly but at Memorial is drains faster as it's constantly searching for a signal. Any suggestions for a "non-tech" guy? I've emailed "The Gold Standard" a few times but have yet to receive a reply. I think these are 2 legit gripes.
