#Cal sophomore linebacker Cecil Whiteside is academically ineligible for the 2012 season, per a school press release.

A press release from the university indicates that Cecil Whiteside will be academically ineligible this season. Update: Whiteside will apparently still have three years to play. Hopefully he can right the ship.
