Hello recruitniks. We're trying out a new feature here to sate your voracious appetites. In addition to the weekly Golden Recruiting Wire posts, we're going to add a weekly discussion thread on all things recruiting. This thread will be the place to discuss, comment, or drop recruiting nuggets over the course of the week. A living CGB recruiting thread, if you will.

This week we have plenty to discuss. On Friday, Kennedy linebacker Takkarist McKinley committed to Cal. Also, Jared Goff was named as one of the final Elite 11 quarterbacks at the Redondo Beach Elite 11 Camp that's been going on since last Wednesday. Also, Cal hosted five prospects on unofficial visits: Central East cornerback LJ Moore, Chaminade RB Terrell Newby, Oak Park defensive linemen Luca Bruno, San Clemente offensive lineman Sean Harlow, and Fountain Valley offensive lineman JD Hinnant.

Just to be clear, this recruiting discussion will not replace the GRW. On the contrary, we want to offer a place to discuss recruiting throughout the week and beyond just Wednesdays. So please drop any questions, comments, or recruiting info in the comments and let's get it going!
