It's a holiday weekend where we all celebrate.
But it's a weekend where we should also all remember.
Everyone has someone they know; a friend or family member of today or yesterday. There are those that came before us and served that we might enjoy the freedoms that we are blessed with today.
This goes beyond politics or ideologies. It matters not for causes or reasons. The simple truth is that brave men and women have made the decision to step forward for all of us and continue to do so to this day.
For their sacrifices, we honor their service and remember them.
Here's to my grandfather and his brothers who served in World War II. Here's to all who have served or serve today.
Here's to you and yours, CGB. Happy Memorial Day.
