Of course I post this on a super foggy morning, but whatever.
So there's a whole family of activities that are really optimized for summertime. It's a combination of the warm and sunny weather, higher availability of people (school is out, work slows down a little... sometimes, right?), and stuff like that. For some, it's hiking. Others, it's the beach.
So what's your summer bucket list? What are activities you aim to take part in before the summer is over (for all practical purposes, Labour Day Weekend is essentially the end of summer)?
Mine is a work in progress and will probably end up including stuff very SF-specific that I want to get done before I leave. But for now:
Golden Gate Fields - I've been for a day of horse racing before (at Arlington Park outside Chicago) and it was a very fun social scene. Why not replicate the same over here?
Sam's in Tiburon - It can be a pain to plan, taking a ferry and making reservations and everything, but it's going to be super fun!
An LA and a Vegas trip - Self-explanatory, come on.
A day at the driving range - I'm not a golf enthusiast, by any stretch, but this would still be a fun day.
Hosting a pool party - Our apartment complex has a pool with nice sunny exposure. Would be fun to dock an iPod and have a mini party.
Hosting a brunch party - Seems like one of those things that can only be done in summer -- who needs Lime when we can control our own mimosas and bloody marys and music?
What's yours?
