So I was having a discussion with some buddies about what constitutes "grown-up" interests. The best differentiator I could come up with was that grown-up interests are focused more on relaxation, whereas younger interests are focused on excitement or "having fun". A grown-up vacation is going to Napa and spending the weekend in a spa. A younger vacation would be going mountain climbing in Peru (more active) or partying in Ibiza (more excitement) or both.

But this is more about the time you realised that you were, in fact, a grown up. At least in the eyes of society. Even if you don't feel that way.

I guess the first time I really felt that was when I booked my own plane ticket and took care of my own accomodations... and was essentially responsible for getting myself from point A to point B without anyone else there.
