The Bears are 2-7 in the Pac-12, sit at 77th in the RPI, and are generally just having a really tough time. This season may not end the way we all might hope. But this afternoon, the Bears play Stanford, and any win over those guys is going to instantly improve everybody's mood.
Stanford is actually struggling a bit as well, especially considering the top-5 expectations they carried into the season. Stanford is below .500 in Pac-12 play as well, which means that today Cal has a chance to further maximize their pain.
Cal hasn't released any game notes that indicate who might start - hopefully the entire team had a nice restful Easter Sunday, because there's no rest for the weary right now. Go Bears!
