I'm assuming today's game will be covered by KALX, though yesterday's broadcast booth conflict confuses matters.

The Bears were swept in yesterday's double header, 9-2 and 4-1. Beyond simply getting outplayed, Cal further doomed themselves with mistakes. 7 Cal errors led to 5 OSU unearned runs in both games combined. Walks, hit by pitches and base running mistakes just compounded the issue.

Cal will turn to Kyle Porter to stop the bleeding. Porter will be making his 3rd appearance after a very encouraging 4 inning outing last week. I don't know how long of a rope he'll be given on the mound in terms of pitches, but he and the Cal bats need to step up to avoid a home sweep - something you can't really afford in the Pac-12.
