The rumored SI feature on UCLA basketball is out, and Ben Howland doesn't come off too well. As I discuss in my story at Pacific Takes, he's revealed to be neglectful in his duties as a coach and a mentor. There are always things we could gripe about when it comes to hoops, but stories like these make you thankful to have a strict disciplinarian and hands-on coach like Monty running our program and ensuring high quality Cal basketball for as long as he's here. Also, he beats Howland a lot. That's always sweet.
