One thing that my friends and I have recently enjoyed doing is getting together at someone's house or apartment for a game day/game night, which is exactly what it sounds like. Playing card games, board games, whatever as the central attraction. Sometimes with drinking. Oddly, sometimes without.

It's proven to be a lot of fun!

With that said, what are your favourite party games or board games?

For us, the two centrepieces are Taboo and Mafia. Taboo is always fun for team dynamics, silly clues, and overall competitiveness. Mafia is always dependent upon the group, but if your storyteller (ie "God") is good, then it works out well. Guess who always likes playing God in our group?

Apples to Apples is always fun, just for the general absurdity of it. Sometimes, when you have a smaller group, it's fun to break out a more old-school board game. The Game Of Life can be a ton of fun! Especially when you add your own twists!

Ooh, also anyone ever play the old board game Scotland Yard? Man, so many hours spent on that and Life with my cousins in India!
