Recently, the DBDs have exploded with growth. That is good in one sense, because it means that many new readers are coming in to discuss Cal sports and other things throughout the course of the day. Yay! Welcome!
However, it is also bad in one sense. I have heard from some readers about how difficult it can be to navigate a DBD where you get to it at 1030 AM in the morning and it already has 500+ comments. Or you get to it on your lunch break and it has 1,000+ comments. Comments are great and we welcome any and all comments (Disclaimer: Does not include political slapfights). But I can understand if you are overwhelmed by 1,000 comments. Remember that there is a way to help with this.
Hold down Shift+A. It marks all unread comments as read (Note: Not red, but read). So, then, you can just not worry abut having to "Z" through 1,000 comments to catch up. You can just say "FUCK YOU!" to all the old comments and just react to the new comments. Then, you'll be able to Z to the most active and recent conversations and go from there.
And you can still read the old comments, they just won't be easily "Z"-able. So, there you go. Shift+A can help you! It is your friend. This has been a public service announcement. GO BEARS!
