Week 14 of the National Football League regular season got underway Thursday night when the Denver Broncos beat the Oakland Raiders in front of a Stanford-size football crowd at the Coliseum. The action continues on Sunday. The most anticipated game of Week 14, however, might be the Monday Night Football matchup betwen the New England Patriots (9-3) and the Houston Texans (11-1). That game also gives us Cal fans a chance to see two of our favorite football alumni: running backs Shane Vereen (Patriots) and Justin Forsett (Texans). Woo hoo! Go Bears!

You also get another prominent Cal football alumnus in prime time: the Sunday Night Game features Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers against the Detroit Lions. I think I speak for all Cal fans when I say that I hope Aaron can avoid getting "inadvertently" kicked in the nether region by Ndamukong Suh.
