Cal Recruiting Discussion: Weekend of 10/5 and Beyond

Hey you guys.

Just because the season is a little rocky right now doesn't mean that recruiting has stopped. Our commits have games to play, and we'll also be hosting a hand full of prospects on official visits for the UCLA game as well. This will be the place to talk about it.

Here's your primer:

OUR COMMITS

QB Jared Goff and Marin Catholic (5-1) travel to neighboring Novato on Saturday to take on the take on the Hornets (3-2). Expect Goff and company to roll.

TE Ray Hudson and Foothill (3-2) have a tall task ahead as they take on undefeated De La Salle (5-0) in Concord tonight. It will be interesting to see if Ray is covered by one of the Spartan's big-time linebacker prospects.

WR AJ Richardson and Narbonne (5-0), fresh off a big victory over Trinity League powerhouse Mater Dei, head on the road to take on hapless Carson (0-5). BLOODBATH.

OL Cameron Hunt and Centennial (4-1) won't be travelling far when they take on crosstown rival Corona (2-3). Expect the Huskies to cruise.

CB Darius Allensworth and Heritage (4-1) head on the road to take on Perris (1-3). This should be a thorough beatdown as well.

CB Shon Akins and undefeated Norcross (5-0) will trale to Mt. Airy, GA to take on winless Habersham Central (0-5). Poor Raiders.

CB Trey Cheek and Archer (3-2) host Shiloh (3-2) in what could be an interesting and competitive game.

OLB Takkarist McKinley and Kennedy (1-4) host De Anza (2-2). Unfortunately for Takk, the Eagles are just a really bad football team and will likely get rolled once again.

K Matt Anderson and San Ramon Valley (2-3) will host Granada (3-2) in a tight EBAL contest.

Good luck, you future Bears!
