Winner of 5 straight games, the Bears and their high power offense will look to keep on winning this weekend at Arizona State (the lone game of the weekend). Interestingly, there is absolutely no info about Arizona State in the Cal Athletics press release.
Despite their mediocre record, ASU apparently has a RPI of 41 currently. By comparison, Bears' RPI is up to 32 this week, up from 40 last week. ASU is coming off a split last weekend against the Washington schools.
Last week for the Bears: Lead by 3 goals from Pac-12 Player of the Week, Ifeoma Onumonu, Bears maintained a perfect road record with two road wins @ Colorado (3-2 in OT) and @ Utah (3-1).
By the way, 4 of the remaining 6 regular season game are scheduled to be on TV, including the regular season finale at home against the defending NCAA champion, Stanfurd, on November 4th. Unlike the men, women's soccer does not play a home and home against the rest of the conference (then again the men's soccer "conference" consists of only Cal, Furd, UCLA, Washington, Oregon State, and San Diego State).
GO BEARS!
