Scholarship Players on the Roster
Hey Bears,
After national signing day, I’ll be coming out with a breakdown of the talent in the PAC12 for a couple different national sites. I’m putting together an excel worksheet that breaks down each roster by class and star rating, looking only at scholarship players. It’s a really user-friendly visual that I think you guys will enjoy having access to. I’m looking for some help from this board to fill in the blanks. I appreciate any answers you guys can provide:
1) Which players from the 2011 class redshirted and which played in 2011?
2) What walk-ons have earned scholarships and what year will they be in 2012?
3) Are there any players on the roster who grayshirted AND redshirted, giving them six years of eligibility?
4) Are their any unique cases on the roster who have earned a scholarship but graduated high school before 2008 (Mormon mission, injury, military, etc…)?
Again, I appreciate your help.

Probably best to have someone else confirm, but I'm pretty sure about this list:
Class of 2011 redshirts: Barr, Boehm, Broussard, Ervin, Gibson, Harris, Jackson, Jefferson, Lasco, Lopa, Morgan, Rigsbee, Williams, Willis
Class of 2011, didn’t redshirt: C.J. Anderson (JC transfer), Brendan Bigelow, Mustafa Jalil, Stefan McClure, Viliami Moala, Richard Rodgers, Brendan Scarlett, Avery Sebastian.
The #1 greatest threat to America: BEARS
Jackson didn’t redshirt. He was getting snaps most of the last half of the season, particularly after McClure got hurt.
Rest of this list looks legit.

Morgan greyshrited, so he should still have 5 to play 4, right?

Morgan was a grayshirt, and so was Lopa. The rules are the same: 5 to play 4. Grayshirts get an extra spring practice since their clock starts in Spring rather than Fall. They also count against Class of 2012’s schollies instead of 2011’s I believe.
