I think that’s some standard official athlete height and weight measurement inflation. Everyone loves to list guys as bigger and taller than they really are.

The most hilarious case of this is right handed pitchers in MLB. It’s amazing how many 6 foot tall pitchers look the same height as 5’8 2nd basemen.

Well pitchers get legitimately discriminated against for being small, whereas position players won’t.

In the NBA, they usually list guys heights in shoes, rounded up. And actually, the weights they list are usually really old ones so it often understates how big guys are…..

Yeah, agree with the general point – listed heights/weights aren’t very trustworthy.
