The Line: Oregon favored by 3.5
Pomeroy says...Oregon wins 71-68
In the college business, we call this a classic letdown game. Cal played another taxing overtime game on Sunday night, meaning all our starters are probably a day short on their usual rest period. Oregon, meanwhile, is fresh off a fairly convincing victory over their cross-state rivals. They've won six of their last eight, have three winnable games coming up, and could actually make some buzz in the Pac-10 Tournament if the matchups work in their favor (they have managed to beat the Washingtons and swept USC).
The Ducks are well-coached, execute very well, they have a pretty crazy homecourt environment (that arena...and THAT court), and really made Cal work for their victory in Haas. This could be another barnburner, and the Bears will probably need someone on their bench to pick up some of the slack and give their starters some help. Otherwise that UCLA euphoria will wear off really fast.
