Bryce McGovern accumulated huge stats, but he was in a pass-happy offense in Monte Vista. Is he as talented as his numbers showcase him to be?

What you have to understand about McGovern is that he’s just a football player, plain and simple. When I talked to Monte Vista coach Craig Bergman about him, Bergman called McGovern the best pure player he’s ever had. That tells me all I need to know, considering the caliber of that program. McGovern isn’t going to be the biggest guy on the field, but I think there’ll always be a spot in college football for a guy with those kinds of skills. He’s just a really, really good football player.
