Earlier Wednesday, Joe Paterno announced he would retire at the end of the season. On Wednesday night, the Penn State University Board of Trustees decided not to wait that long. Defensive coordinator Tom Bradley will act as the team's head coach for the remainder of the season. The university also fired president Graham Spanier, effective immediately.
