Fall/Winter to me officially starts the day after Halloween. This also means beer company's are releasing their Fall/Winter specialty brews. Here's my list of the best Fall/Winter beers.
Harvest Pumpkin Ale- I'm an unabashed Blue Moon homer. I love their their company and the beers they brew. That's why I do suggest trying their Harvest Pumpkin Ale. This beer has pumpkin spices and nutmeg as recipes and it's a great pair with either a steak or soup.
Snow Day- I was never a fan of New Belgium seasonal beers until they came out with Snow Day. This beer has a creamy taste with a roasted nuts aftertaste that is actually delicious.
Mendocino Oatmeal Stout- For whatever reason, Oatmeal stouts have become popular recently. It must just be a trend at the moment. I've never cared for Oatmeal Stouts, but if you're going to drink one then drink the Mendocino Oatmeal Stout.
Gordon Biersch WinterBock- I picked this beer because the Gordan Biersch website has a recipe you can use with each of their beers, and the WinterBock recipe is Braised Beef Ribs. My fat ass is salivating at that recipe.
Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale- I'm a big fan of the Dogfish Head brewery. And their Pumpkin Ale is one of the best seasonal brews you'll find. You can probably find this beer in Safeway or a specialty store like BevMo.
