Why watch the Cotton Bowl?

You see that, just up ahead?  That barren, bleak desert?  That's the college football offseason--all eight months of it.  There are only four games of college football left to enjoy and you need to savor every minute of it.  Drink up, friends.  We have a long journey ahead.

Neither team has had much success with quarterback play.  LSU's Jordan Jefferson completed only 57% of his passes and had over a 2:1 INT:TD ratio.  At Texas A+M Jerrod Johnson was not getting the job done, so they move WR Ryan Tannehill to QB.  Tannehill has decent numbers, but he struggled against tougher opponents.  Both teams have strong running games and solid defenses.  This looks like a game to be won in the trenches.  Of course, all of this is moot because we all know Les Miles will win this one on voodoo magick and voodoo magick alone.  Winner: Texas A+M's five-point lead vanishes after they fumble in the victory formation and LSU returns the fumble for a touchdown.  Les Miles eats some more grass and enjoys another baffling win.
