That’s the part I like, actually.
Seemed very accountable and determined to improve. Very admirable for a young guy.
I’m really going to enjoy watching him, Crabbe, and Murray continue to develop.
Old Toothwrangler
I am reminded of about 3 Montgomery quotes from earlier this season about how he tries to just instill in the freshmen that it’s about doing the little things like setting a good screen, making a pass, boxing out on a rebound. And whenever he said it, it sounded like he was a bit with a shrugged pose, like, “what are you going to do, they are freshmen, they don’t know what they don’t know.”
Well, now Solomon knows and let’s see if he learns from it.
Wow
Inexcusable to allow that tip in. Part of the growing pains, I guess.
Yes, I am an Old Blue. Now get off my lawn.
As bad as Solomon looked there
Kamp and Crabbe really should have helped him out. Nelson shouldn’t have been able to get through them. They just stood there.

Let’s not bag on Solomon guys…that’s a really hard box out to pick up (someone flying in, with momentum, from outside the key). I’d really proud of the fight in this team. To even make it so competitive, given the pace of the first 38 minutes of the game, is very impressive from such a young team. I’m really looking forward to my chance to support these guys in person tomorrow at $C.
I think I was happier thinking that UCLA made some undefendable shot than win on a tip-in. The bright side is how much Crabbe and Soloman has grown offensively so far, and I have to be optimistic that the mental lapses will stop as they get more experiences.

This really was the most Cal ending to a game it could possibly be. So much heart, and so much heartbreak all in one.
California Golden Bears: 2nd place is nothing to sneeze at!
