SBN appears to be having some problems with the sites, but hopefully we are back up for good.
There will always be a conflict rooting for the SeaBears as long as Pete Carroll coaches there. Always.

I know as a Packer fan I’m supposed to hate Chicago and Minnesota, and yeah, I don’t care for either team. But the Bears’ uniforms are really nice.

Best unis in football. I’m from Chicago, so it’s been weird for me since Rodgers got to Green Bay. I root for him to perform really well, but for other Packers to completely melt down and blow every game.
In the Bears-Seahawks game, I was hoping the Cal guys would all look fantastic, but Hasselbeck would throw five picks, or Leon Washington would fumble on a return, etc.
Next week, though, I don’t care what Aaron does. I just want the Bears to win. Gonna be tough. It all depends which Jay Cutler shows up.

Hahahah, that’s pretty much our only consolation.
So, does this mean that the NFC Championship game will be @ Chicago, in the snow? :-/

I believe so, as opposed to in seattle in the snow or green bay in the snow?

For some reason I thought Seattle had a roof. Besides, it’s a little rainy in Seattle, but there’s no snow.
And in Green Bay, at least there’s home field advantage.

Seattle has almost a roof? Aside from the open air 70%, ha.

There’s snow in Seattle. In fact last week in Tues/Wed (forgot) there was some 2-3" of snow in Seattle. Enough to require chains
In other words, Go Bears!
It’s rainy and 57 degrees today, and the forecast for next Sunday, when the NFC Championship game would be, is partly cloudy and 48 degrees. No snow.

Packers-Bears would worry me
Chicago has played Green Bay tight all year. Green Bay committed a thousand penalties in the first game, then barely could win an elimination game in Week 17 at home. They are a tough, tough team with great defense and special teams.
People are going to be pumping up Rodgers all week after last week, but he only has a passer rating around 90 against the Bears. Could be a toss-up.

Fox is my favorite. The Monday Night Football crew on ESPN is excellent. NBC is tolerable. CBS is the worst.
Dan Dierdorf and Phil Sims… bleh! And in the studio, it’s worse. The CBS set is so dark and dreary, and the analysts are stuffy. Bill Cowher seems uptight. Dan Marino is dull. Boomer is OK. Shannon might be OK if he didn’t sound like he has cotton stuffed in his mouth.
How do you top Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Michael Strahan? Those guys are awesome. Jimmy Johnson is iffy, though.

Man, they committed three guys to Mebane there.

Since the Seahawks are blatantly uncompetitive in this game
Let’s check today’s entry in the Al Davis WTF file:
As former Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable was attempting to lead his team to the playoffs this season, owner Al Davis began deducting $20,000 from each of his head coach’s paychecks until he had withheld $120,000 in fines, according to team sources.
In turn, Cable filed a grievance against his owner with the NFL, becoming the latest Raiders head coach to be embroiled in a financial dispute with his owner.
Now NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will appoint an arbitrator to whom the Raiders and Cable will have to submit legal arguments and witnesses. The arbitrator then will make the final ruling.
The NFL is doing its due diligence to ascertain the exact reasons for the fines.
Yes, I am an Old Blue. Now get off my lawn.
haha another day in the life of Al Davis
