PrintAs I was attempting to clean out our garage last weekend, I came across an old catchers helmet apparently discarded and forgotten behind a stack of boxes. With the matching catchers mask no where to be found and my days of mustang baseball behind me, the helmet seemed destined for the "discard pile". But something inside me, possibly my compulsion to hoard, kept me from throwing it out and I decided to sleep on it.
If you are wondering, "How is this Cal related?" Well, allow me to continue...

I awoke the next morning with a vision and an urge to visit the hobby store. I left my local Hobbytown USA with a can of blue spray paint, a can of gold spray paint, a can of clear coat, and an exacto knife. Here are my results:
Step 1: Paint helmet gold and stencil out logos with painter's tape and exacto knife.
Step 2: Paint over entire helmet blue.
Step 3: Remove tape and spray on clear coat:
Step 4: PROPHET?!
