DBD 9.24.10 - Dr. Moneyball or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Garlic Fries

The DBDs as of late have featured a lot of hatting on the two semi-rival Bay Area baseball teams. Can't we just get along? Can we go one day without bitching and whining over who has more fans in attendance, or who has more World Series rings? Can we?! Both sides of the argument know that the figure that matters most is the mineshaft gap!

And everyone on this blog knows that Cal is the only Bay Area team with even ONE mine shaft to its name. So I really feel like that settles the argument right there.

I'd like this DBD to just be a happy place. Until Twist shows up. Then the DBD will go to shit like it always does. But, before that happens, maybe some of us can share things that we love about both teams, and indeed everything in the Bay Area, so that we might look down our noses at all other teams in the nation and scoff at them for being located in substandard places.

Besides, the only time we should really be rooting against one another is if we both make it to the World Series again. And let's be frank, it won't happen this season. Let's put aside our differences, and celebrate both teams with a happy feast of $1 hot dogs and garlic fries.
