Breaking news: yf is about to get wasted
Camped out at MJ Armstrong’s. Told that my table is exactly where Tedford will face the whole time. Also the only one wearing a jersey
Tedford and Sandy still not here. But open bar time is

Breaking news: yf is standing next to Tedford but a group of wealthy donors stands between him. He needs questions to ask if he can get to him!
Whoops turned around and there’s Tedford. Chatting it up with wealthier alums, I’m sure

He's back!
“Asked one on one about thoughts on P12 championship game. Said there was no need for expansion without it. Also said he’d prefer San Diego for a fixed location due to accessibility and weather, less home-field advantage.”

Liked the recruiting class, deliberately went heavy on LBs and WRs, specifically mentions Keenan Allen, says he’s already gotten bigger
Likes the OL, very physical – lots of things happening right now
Likes having not just 5 but 8-9 guys who can play on OL because of inevitable injuries, pushes Guarnero as doing especially well

HARBAUGH NOT AS ANNOYING AS HE APPEARS ACCORDING TO TEDFORD
I’d still wanna see Tedford punch Harbaugh in da face.

Hey now…What if Tedford meant that Harbaugh is more annoying than he appears?

Maybe Tedford was being sarcastic?
“Harbaugh? Annoying?? NOOOOOOOOOOO, he’s not annoying AT ALLLLLLLLL. He’s actually a REALLLLLYYY NICE GUYYYY. YEEAAAHHH, SWELL GUY. UH HUH.”

Need to improve completion percentage (says team throws downfield too much, run shorter patterns)
Wow, I didn’t realize we threw downfield that much; I just remember all the short plays where we tried to mask Riley’s inaccuracy or the o-line’s ineffectiveness.
I think he might have meant tries to throw downfield too much… We do have a tendency to go for the home run ball over the short out or slant… I’d like to us improve in this area, with our speedy WRs they could definitely break one tackle and go for a big gain… or just chip away and relieve the pressure on the RBs
"Remember the Maine! TO HELL WITH STANFORD!"
We were definitely overly-reliant on the big play last year. A lot of that was the offense’s inability to consistently execute. I suppose it’s also a bit tempting when you have a weapon like Best to keep going to the well.
We’re going to need more consistency this year, that’s for sure.

I know YellowFever will have a better report up soon
But in the meanwhile, i thought I’d share my report. Take of it as you will:

damn…I guess this and the C-martgate happens when pursuing the most talented players in the country…
Tedford stated that Whiteside’s academics were being evaluated by the NCAA, and that there was a high possibility that he was going to greyshirt, and come in during January.
[Blogger’s note: That’s a bummer, but I’m thinking that if it’s an NCAA eligibility issue, that might mean Whiteside may not have the option of transferring to a school like ASU?

Tedford also stated that a young guy who is going to play a lot for us this year is Steve Williams. I quote, “We have a guy, Steve Williams, who is probably the best cover corner we’ve had here.” He even compared him to Syd’Quan Thompson.
Wowowowow. Really?!
Yeah, my friends memorized the cover corner quote, but my ears perked when I heard him compared to Syd. The kid is even faster though from what I hear.

Also, shout outs to Mrs. Tedford, and BOOM, Eric Levy and “Big Game hero” Steve Levy are in the house!!! (Cue Oprah cheer)
It got a little tense when Steve Levy went to the table for one more plate of food even though Tedford had specifically instructed him to just take a seat.
