Tyson Ross Sparkles in A's Debut
For all you A's fans out there, Tyson Ross, formerly of Bishop O'Dowd and the University of California made the Oakland A's roster this year as a non-roster invitee and jumped from AA all the way up to the big leagues based on his Spring training performance. He pitched for the first time in a big league game tonight against the Mariners at the Coliseum (2.1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K) and struck out the last batter to end the 6th and also struck out Ken Griffey Jr. Awesome stuff from a former Golden Bear!
