Time: 1 PM PDT/4 PM EDT

The Bears aim for a sweep of the Trojans after dominating them on Saturday afternoon behind an outstanding pitching performance.

Freshman left-hander Justin Jones (Oakdale/Oakdale HS) allowed just one run in eight innings Saturday as the California Golden Bears won their seventh straight game with the 7-1 victory against the USC Trojans at Dedeaux Field. Jones (7-2) scattered nine hits and walked two while striking out 10 batters to remain tied for the Pac-10 Conference lead for wins.

Mark Canha went 3-for-4 for the Golden Bears (19-10, 5-3) with a double and two RBI while Jimmy Bosco also had a 3-for-4 day.

USC (15-16, 2-6) had runners at first and second with two outs in the second and third innings, but Jones recorded strikeouts to end the threat.
