24 Mississippi State 1
25 Florida State 1

Others receiving votes:
Miami (Fla.), Oregon State, Florida, Syracuse, Northwestern, San Diego State, California, Air Force, Pittsburgh, Brigham Young, Temple, Arizona State, Hawaii

Dropped out this week: Florida, California, Oregon State

Biggest Difference from the AP Poll: Texas A&M -5, Oklahoma +3, Utah +3, Wisconsin -3

Biggest Difference from the BCS Poll: Texas A&M -4, Ohio State +3, Mississippi State -3, Southern California UNR

I think this might be the first time that the poll is very similar to the official polls (at least the AP and BCS ones). The biggest difference might be our aversion to Texas A&M. Oregon remains #1 but Auburn jumps both the non-AQ teams to the #2 team in the country. Iowa, Arizona and Utah all fall hard thanks to embarrassing defeats (Northwestern, USC and Notre Dame respectively). I'm surprised that Utah didn't fall more to be honest.

The Biggest Sunshine Pumper Award goes to...

... Missing Barry who voted for Cal as #21!

This award was presented to the user(s) who loved Cal the most out of everyone who voted this week and had copious amounts of sunshine pumping

At least you didn't vote for Cal as #1.

The OMG Cal Sux Award goes to...

... Berkelium97, Ursa Major, Maisbikkja, Ravenous Ute, Takimoto, atomsareenough, JShufelt, and royrules22, all of whom did not vote for Cal!

This award was presented to the user(s) who held a glass half-empty look at Cal

That's everyone else...

The Five Most Confusing Teams Were...

  1. Florida State
  2. Mississippi State
  3. Utah
  4. Arizona
  5. Southern California

Most people had the most trouble figuring out where these five teams belonged. This list is limited to teams that are in the top-25 only.

Let's see here... Only four folks voted for Florida State and of those three voted for FSU between 22 and 24 and the fourth voted for FSU at #18. That's divergent all right. Five voters voted for MSU and of those four voted for MSU between 21-23 and the fifth voted for MSU at #17. Not as divergent as Florida State but close.

The Five Least Confusing Teams Were...

  1. Oregon
  2. Boise State
  3. TCU
  4. LSU
  5. Stanford

Most people were generally on the same page when it came to these teams. This list is limited to teams that are in the top-25 only otherwise all the crappy teams would top this list.

Six out of nine voters chose Oregon at #1 while all except JShufelt picked them at #2 (Shufelt picked Oregon at #4). Boise State ranged between 1-4 with most votes at #4.

The Five Most Divergent Voters Were...

  1. JShufelt
  2. Missing Barry
  3. Ravenous Ute
  4. Maisbikkja
  5. Berkelium97

This award was given to the five voters whose poll differed most from the overall Top 25.

JShufelt and his computer poll takes the top spot here with votes for Ohio St at #3, Oregon at #4, 'Bama at #5, Oklahoma St at #6, Florida at #20, and Hawaii at #25 among others. As for Missing Barry he had in his poll (click to read his explanation) 'Bama at #5, Auburn at #6, USC at #11, Miami at #17, Cal at #21 and ASU at #25. This was a close battle between JShufelt and Missing Barry.

The Five Least Divergent Voters Were...

  1. royrules22
  2. Ursa Major
  3. Takimoto
  4. atomsareenough
  5. Berkelium97

This award was given to the five voters whose poll differed the least from the overall Top 25.

Berkelium wins the Owen Marecic award for being both divergent and not divergent. We need more than 9 voters. I'm least divergent again? My biggest difference was putting Texas A&M at #19 and Arizona at #25.

Be nice. You can find the original CGB team at WriteForCalifornia.com.
