boehm

i’m no qb expert by any stretch of the imagination, but boehm sure has a beautiful throwing motion, especially for a high school kid

His WR#13 looks good too.

by zachahuy on Oct 8, 2010 9:56 PM PDT up reply actions

Yup.

His throwing motion looks really smooth and quick, he has a short release and looks to be accurate. Looking forward to see if he’s good enough to be competitive next year. Tedford’s had so much problems with QB’s since Rodgers I’m thinking he won’t be completely adverse to starting a true Freshman if he’s worth it. Seeing that Sweeney and Mansion couldn’t even compete with Riley, I seriously doubt their candidacy as future starters.

no way sweeney or mansion even sniff the starting gig. barring disaster, zack maynard (keenan allen’s 1/2 brother) should be our starting qb next year. he was really good at buffalo his first two seasons and with a whole year sitting out due to his transfer i expect him to be able to step in and have a great grasp of the offense and be a solid-to-spectacular qb.

austin hinder and allan bridgford were both highly touted qb recruits and should have a chance to beat out sweeney and mansion for the backup jobs. both sweeney and mansion have failed to show any ability to stand in the pocket and throw to our receivers and unless they show some sort of drastic improvement the rest of the season and in the offseason, i doubt they have much of a chance to compete for much playing time.

with good recruits in boehm and kline coming in over the next two years, adding to our stock in bridgford and hinder, you gotta like our chances to groom the next great cal qb.

Sounds like a potential season ender

for Moala -

Moala, a 6-foot-3, 340-pound noseguard, had to be carried off the field with a knee injury.

Moala was blocked to the ground by two Merced players and landed awkwardly. He lay there on the turf for more than 10 minutes as a physician, trainers and coaches circled his right leg.

“I just can’t move my leg,” Moala said, writhing in pain.

A Merced physician said Moala likely dislocated his knee cap.

Hopefully all will turn out OK for Moala!

Another good reason to be a good student like Tiny and get that education.

as long as it isnt anything that will be chronic i dont really see it affecting much regarding his recruiting. itll keep him out of the big showcase games like the army all-american game but other than that…

if anything hopefully it solidifies his decision to commit to cal and stay home.

either way, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for him.

Bigger than expected recruiting wkd turnout

Serra recruits will all be in attendance – Jason Gibson, George Farmer, Marqise Lee.

More to come…

I’ve heard that Farmer and Lee are silent commits to USC. Is there any truth to the rumors?

by iubyont on Oct 8, 2010 8:40 PM PDT up reply actions

Farmer is supposedly very high on USC. Don’t know about Lee.

lee has been saying for a couple months now that he would really like to go to school with farmer, and USC offered. i’m also under the assumption that both of them are going to be trojans.

great first half, hope they come out and are just as impressive in the second half.
