CGB Meetup For Cal-Oregon State Game?
Time: Saturday, October 30 ยท 11:30am - 4:00pm
Location ???? (Who's showing the game? Need some help here!)
With the Cal-Oregon State game on some obscure FCS Pacific channel, many of us need a good place to watch the Sturdy Golden Bears. What's the ideal place in the Bay Area to watch it?

Cal - OSU on TV
According to the link off of the calbears.com website the game is available on: AT&T, Comcast, & DirectTV.
I’m on comcast so the only drawback is no HD.
For DirecTV, they say “FCS Pacific is usually available on your regional Fox sports network.” Uh, yeah, not this week, guys. On the up side, I can watch Harvard – Dartmouth! Yay!!!
why is it not this week? cuz stanford washington?

Directv will be carrying the game on 617 (FCS) if you have the sports pack, which I don’t, so I’ll be going over to the East Bay to watch somewhere (I know, no one asked for my personal plans).
Directv doesn’t even carry the 3 FCS channels because almost all of the content is available on the full complement of regional sports networks. They use channels 617 and 623 to broadcast any events on FCS that aren’t on the RSNs, which amounts to a couple times a week.
Wow, we have learned way too much useless information about sports broadcasting this week.

Meridian or Triple Rock?
Meridian is nicer, but I tried their new number (415-992-2065) a couple times now with nobody picking up. Odd. I’ll have to give Triple Rock a call as well.

Good point, hadn’t even thought about that area. Probably McCovey’s or BJs Brewery will have the game too.

See you there! (I’m working at the official tailgate, if you are going to that.)

Going to Vegas for a bachelor party
So I am sure the game will be televised somewhere.
I want to do a CFB parlay, any suggestions? I promise to donate half of any winnings to Cal athletics.

Parlays are the devil
Just donate the money you’re betting, because you’ll end up donating it to Vegas.

I know they are the devil but they are fun
I never put much down on them but they are entertaining. Yes, at the end of the day we all end up donating some money to Vegas one way or another.
This is a Cal bachelor party so it should make for a fun Saturday.
