Others receiving votes:
Michigan, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina State, Arizona State, Southern California, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, West Virginia, North Carolina, San Jose State
Dropped out this week:
Michigan, Miami (Fla.)
Biggest Difference from AP Poll:
California +12, West Virginia -8, Nevada +7, Wisconsin -7, Arkansas -4, Utah +3, Ohio State -3, Iowa -3
Alabama falls but still remains above South Carolina who has the same record and won the head-to-head. This world makes no sense. But due to 'Bama's fall Oregon jumps to #1 and Ohio State falls one spot (huh?). Michigan and Miami both fall out of the poll thanks to the thumpings by FSU and Mich St both of whom rise a nice five spots. Arizona (and therefore Iowa) and Florida round out the other losers of the day. For some reason CGB once again forgets West Virginia while the AP Poll decides to not give even a single vote to Cal. And somebody voted for San Jose State.
The Biggest Sunshine Pumper Award goes to...
... Rocksanddirt, and TwistNHook, all of whom voted for Cal as #1!
This award was presented to the user(s) who loved Cal the most out of everyone who voted this week and had copious amounts of sunshine pumping
Twist, just because you want to beat Missing Barry it doesn't mean you can go ahead and do ridiculous things. Think about juju! And what's your rationale Rocksanddirt, he who gave a pity vote to SJSU?
The OMG Cal Sux Award goes to...
... onanevenplayingfield, Berkelium97, 4Ever Golden, Josie Becker, Ursa Major, and Rated-R Superstar, all of whom did not vote for Cal!
This award was presented to the user(s) who held a glass half-empty look at Cal
This list shrinks thanks to UCLA's epic incompetence.
The Five Most Confusing Teams Were...
- Oregon State
- Oklahoma State
Most people had the most trouble figuring out where these five teams belonged. This list is limited to teams that are in the top-25 only.
Cal comes in at most confusing mainly because it was voted as the #1 team by some (*cough*) while not ranked by others at all. The rest of us kept it in the mid 20s (save of course Missing Barry who voted for Cal at #7). OSU is more interesting to look at due the votes for #7, #13, #18, #24 and no votes at all. That basically encompasses a large portion of the poll.
The Five Least Confusing Teams Were...
- South Carolina
Most people were generally on the same page when it came to these teams. This list is limited to teams that are in the top-25 only otherwise all the crappy teams would top this list.
TCU was voted in from 2 (one vote) to 6 (also one vote). However the rest mostly voted between 4 and 5. JShufelt's vote for Oregon at 9 basically threw Oregon below TCU on this list (though by very little - by a decimal point). Funny how a Duck fan underrated Oregon. Iowa was rated between 16 and 22 except with one vote at #10.
The Five Most Divergent Voters Were...
- Missing Barry
- Ravenous Ute
This avard was given to the five voters whose poll differed most from the overall Top 25.
And our usual winner, Missing Barry, once again reclaims his spot. His votes included TCU at #2, LSU at #5, Cal at #7, Ohio St at #9, VT at #20, Auburn at #23, Oklahoma at #24 and Utah at #25. I'll just point you to his comments on his ballot instead of trying to deduce it myself. JShufelt's ballots included LSU at #2, Oregon at #9 (!), Bama at #5, South Carolina at #20, Oregon St at #13, Nevada at #23 (below Cal), and UNC at #24. Again his explanation. Rocksanddirt of course has his infamous Cal at #1 vote and SJSU at #25 along with Arizona at #4, Ohio St at #21, Boise at #22 and Bama at #23. Sorry Twist you're still not the most divergent.
The Five Least Divergent Voters Were...
- 4Ever Golden
This avard was given to the five voters whose poll differed the least from the overall Top 25.
I'm stunned that I'm on this list. Stunned I tell you! My biggest difference is Nevada at #8 and Cal at #25. TrumanHugh was surprisingly similar with the biggest differences being South Carolina at #8, FSU at #14, Nevada at #15 and Air Force at #20.
