Outside linebacker Mychal Kendricks continued his fine season with 2½ tackles for loss. Kendricks has been one of Cal's best defensive players this season.
"He's a gym rat. If I give you the label of being a gym rat, it means you're a good football player," Cal defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast said. "You could play him anywhere. He loves the game. He loves to line up. He loves to look at film. He likes to study. You have to kick him out of the meeting room. He shows up on his own all the time. He's always wanting extra. He's very hungry to play football."

Kendricks had a memorable play in the second quarter when he lifted UCLA tailback Derrick Coleman off the turf and threw him down on his back for a 1-yard loss.

I have the Fight Club soundtrack via the Dust Boys and love that you used a song from it. I’m not entirely certian it really works with the play, though.
