Looks like a well spent scholarship to me...
He’s got great YAC ability and very shifty moves… I’m excited to see what he can do after some D-1 training and coaching… Good under-the-radar pick-up JT!
Undefeated in Southern California since Oct. 2009...
West Adams Prep
is a relatively new school. They are an up and coming program…word around town is that its due to the restructuring of the home school areas. West Adams Prep took students from L.A. high, Dorsey, Belmont and Manual Arts high schools. Most of the kids that would go to those schools would end up transfering into other schools with better programs. Now they are going to the new school with the nice facilities….we’ll see more kids getting recruited out of this school in the future.
Big recs!

Some more notes
via BI from espn/scout:
Montgomery’s highlight vids, stats and background info were reviewed by the espn/scouts inc. guys and Montgomery’s now rated at a very strong 78 grade 3 stars.
Here’s his scouting report:
Montgomery is an under the radar prospect for the 2010 class and can really scoot. He is not very big and lacks bulk and overall strength, but he is your quintessential scatback/slot receiver with huge upside in the return game. He is reminiscent of UCLA’s Terrance Austin only this guy may be a bit more physical and plays with nice toughness and great awareness. He is a “space” player that thrives on making people miss in a phone booth. Has excellent feet and the ability to stop and start on a dime both as a route runner and with the ball in his hands. At the next level will best be utilized as a slot player on underneath and intermediate routes where he can get the ball in his hands quickly and do what he does best. He possesses terrific lateral agility and balance in the open field. Can put multiple moves together with little-to-no wasted motion. Gets from 0-60 in a hurry. As an outside receiver he possesses the speed to threaten vertically, but lacks the size and strength to be a consistent factor on the jump ball. Has shown a penchant for competing for the ball in contested match-ups at this level and he makes a lot of plays downfield, but this will be more difficult for him in college. Shows very good body control and focus when tracking the ball with outstanding sideline awareness. He appears to have very good speed, but also may be a guy that is ultimately quicker than he is purely fast. May not have much redzone potential due to lack of size. However, where Montgomery could really make a splash early is in the return game; both punt and kick-off return. Overall, Montgomery is a flashy playmaker that is limited due to size, but if used correctly could make for a quality BCS level receiver/ball carrier. Very good, unheralded prospect.
