CGB Roll Call: Cal Fans Going to Eugene?
This is meant for meeting up for the Oregon game, and for people to post tidbits, useful info about the city, tailgating, tips on where to go and where to avoid, etc.
Primo had this to say about parking and meeting up.
Parking in Eugene I posted this on another blog, but, you can find 10 shuttle spots in Downtown Eugene on the Autzen Stadium site. We are going to use the one at a parking gararge ( parking free, I think, on Sat.) and get the shuttle there. [Hilton Eugene , 66 E. 6th Ave ( 6th and Oak)] Shuttle is only $5 round trip. We are staying overnight in an RV park, one hour south of Eugene, and would love to find CGB tailgaters. please get back to me if that has been set up anywhere.
Also, on that same blot, there was mention of a DBD for all us CGB'ers going up to Eugene, to tailgate, meet, drink after, etc. Anything come of that? Sure would like to meet and mingle w some of the fans I read every night.
Any CGBers interested in meeting up in Eugene?
Here's the official alumni meetup.

Bear danger
"Running away can activate the bear's hunting instincts and lead to it perceiving the human as prey. Finally, if a bear does attack, the usual advice is to curl into a [[fetal position]] so as to shield vital organs and appear non-threatening."

Well, for want of any other site, looks like we will crash the Bear Backers….maybe. Would much rather share cynical innuendos and football info with CBG’ers, tho. So, if any feel same, and have time, please comment.

I'm going.
1st time in Oregon. Want to see the cool stadium. Heard duck fans aren’t nice, hope we keep it civil. (NOT)!
I'll be there
Arriving Friday afternoon (um, yeah for furlough days?).
The word from the musical people is the Straw Hat Band is attending, full band is not.
There's no crying in baseball!
Has the full band ever attended Oregon?

Pretty sure....
I think there was a year when Stanfurd and one of the SoCal teams were home games, the other SoCal team wasn’t on the schedule (don’t get me started on the years when we didn’t play all the teams in our own conference), and the full band went to Oregon that year.
Perhaps I drank a whole lot of jello shots before going to Autzen for that game, but I swear that was the full Cal band on the field….

Primo I got a question about the shuttle
So you park in the parking lot next to Hilton at 66 E. 6th Ave and then the shuttle is nearby? Or where do I catch the shuttle?
In other words, Go Bears!
for those that are energetic, it's not that far of a walk from campus
There are two foot bridges that cross the river, either one is pretty simple.
But if you take the shuttle, you’ll probably see the crowd of people waiting. If it’s like it was when I was a student, it’s pretty popular and easy to find.
WAHOO!! GAME DAY!!!!
