Florida State ended BYU's BCS bid, Wazzu came back to beat SMU in overtime, and Oregon State fell to the rising Cincinnati Bearcats. In earlier action, Maryland fell to Middle Tennessee State, Oregon beat Utah, Iowa took down Arizona, UW beat USC, Florida snuck by Tennessee, Michigan State lost to Notre Dame.
