Quick thought

I’m surprised Gregory still is going with the zone this late. Weber’s really accurate and can find his men if given the time. He loves to throw that high pass and Decker can get it, it breaks down the zone everytime down the field.

Plus for someone as big of a target as Decker, they’re playing way off of him. Add in Hagan totally biting on the run or playing purely zone coverage instead of his man and Cal has gotten burned over and over on that play.

i agree.

though just a bit tighter and it’s pass breakups rather than leaping catches.

mark may had a surprisingly muted criticism of cal’s chances againt sc. didn’t expect moderation from him

Like St. Flair says, if you wanna BE the man, you gotta BEAT the man.

Agree

I still would rather play them at home in early October than on the road in November.

Purdue is losing to NIU? Maybe Oregon is just really bad this year

Uh, injuries

That’s the sort of news we don’t need, if it turns out to be true.

Worried about Curran too – we need tight end depth.

Impressed with the Gophers DL

They kept us under 200 yrds rushing. What was the last team to do that? USC?

by danzig on Sep 19, 2009 12:26 PM PDT reply actions

Might have gone over 200 if we stopped trying to force it up the middle.

by rurata on Sep 19, 2009 12:27 PM PDT up reply actions

or, specifically, not having best go up the middle.

that’s more vereen’s bread and butter

Right

And more than one give to Sofele on the fly sweep.

by Nashville on Sep 19, 2009 12:29 PM PDT up reply actions

Seriously.

I want to see the Nano-back get some more PT. Maybe on returns?

by VandyImport on Sep 19, 2009 12:30 PM PDT up reply actions

So, who’s starting for USC? Any guesses?

Corp is

Taylor Mays is also not playing.

by Nashville on Sep 19, 2009 12:32 PM PDT up reply actions

The more I think about it

The more okay I am with this game. Riley made big plays when it counted, and so did his WR. He also still didn’t turn the ball over.

by Nashville on Sep 19, 2009 12:32 PM PDT reply actions

I’m ok with the 40 minutes of the game that the team actually played. I’m not ok with the 20 minutes in the middle that they took off.
